Despite technical difficulties that proved to initially throw off Baltimore’s momentum, the Ravens clinched a 34-31 win, securing the title of Super Bowl champions.

To say that the Maryland area was excited about their second victory since 2001, would be a complete and utter understatement. After a nail-biting second half with the San Francisco 49ers keen on a comeback, Baltimore’s residents let out a sigh of relief come the end of the fourth quarter as an incredible night of football and camaraderie came to a close in their favor.

The relaxation didn’t last long, however, as those from the Baltimore area stumbled into the streets, on top of cars, hollering inside of bars at the top of their longs, exhilarated about being able to tell the tale of their Ravens taking home another Lombardi Trophy (even if they did lose it shortly after the Super Bowl win). But while Maryland folks may still be wrestling with their leftover hangovers from last night, the celebrations haven’t even begun to take off. It will be the Super Bowl Parade in Baltimore on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 starting at 10:45 am at City Hall that will truly signify the beginning of a year of bragging rights for the Ravens and, of course, for their fans. The Super Bowl Victory Parade will be hosted by the City of Baltimore and Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake in celebration of the Super Bowl XLVII Champion Baltimore Ravens. The mayor will give a brief introduction and then the parade will kick off at 10:45 am from City Hall and proceed south on Commerce Street. The parade will then continue on down to Pratt and Howard Streets, ending at M&T Bank Stadium.
